The services provided within the community hospitals include GP inpatient, rehabilitation and palliative care beds. The hospitals also provide a wide range of outpatient services, with diagnostic and investigative procedures being carried out. Innovative new services have recently been developed in fields such as telemedicine, community based rehabilitation schemes, and rapid response schemes.

The hospitals also provide minor injuries services at some sites. There are many community nursing and therapy teams across the Trust area underpinning the directorate’s work.
