The North West Wales NHS Trust has adopted the principle that in the conduct of public business it will treat the English and Welsh languages on a basis of equality. The Trust has published a Welsh Language Scheme that was approved by the Welsh Language Board on 3 July 2002. It sets out how the Trust will give effect to that principle when providing services to the public in Wales |

The North West Wales NHS Trust has been successful in achieving Trust-wide Investors in People status. Investors in People is a national quality standard which sets a level of good practice for improving an organisation's performance through its people.
| Disability Symbol User
| The North West Wales NHS Trust has been approved by the Employment Services to become a Disability Symbol User from 1 April 2003. The symbol, which is represented by two ‘ticks’ and the caption “positive about disabled people” will now be used on job adverts and on some material published by the Trust. It indicates that the Trust has passed an assessment by the Employment Service that shows that it is positive about employees with a disability. |

The North West Wales NHS Trust has been successful in gaining the Gold Standard for the national Health at Work Award. Health at Work is the quality mark for health promotion at work. Run by the Welsh Assembly Government, it is presented in bronze, silver and gold categories to public and private sector organisations which implement policies and practices designed to promote the health of their employees. | Welsh Language in Healthcare Award
| For the third year in succession, the North West Wales NHS Trust has scooped a first prize at the National Welsh Language in Healthcare Conference held in City Hall, Cardiff. The Trust won the first prize for the ‘best implemented new initiative’ for a corporate DVD produced by the Trust’s Corporate Communications Unit. |
