The department has five members based at Ysbyty Gwynedd, and they hold sessions at Llandudno General Hospital and some community hospitals.

This department supports consultants and hospital doctors by providing and fitting patients with Orthotic devices.

Patients who are referred by doctors within the hospital can bring their referral cards to the department on the same day. If possible, they are seen that day or they will be given an appointment for a future date.

For patients referred by their GP’s, their referral letter will firstly be reviewed by one of the Orthopaedic Consultants before being passed to the department for action.
