Glyder Ward is an 18 bedded Cardiology ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The patients on this ward are under the care of 3 full time Consultants specialising in cardiac problems. Patients have access to further specialist treatment, if required, at Manchester Royal Infirmary for procedures such as Angioplasty and the Catheter Laboratory at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan for Angiography. Outpatient clinics are held in Ysbyty Gwynedd and Llandudno General Hospital and a Visiting Consultant from Manchester Royal Infirmary runs weekly clinics at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The services of an experience Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist Nurse is available to patients. Coronary Care Unit There is a 6 bedded Coronary Care Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd and also a 3 bedded Coronary Care Unit in Llandudno General Hospital. Both units are staffed by highly trained nurses and are fully equipped with modern monitoring equipment.
