Development & Training
The Trust’s success in gaining the Investors in People Award demonstrates its commitment to ensure that all staff are given the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. The Development & Training Unit, which is based at the Bryn y Neuadd site in Llanfairfechan ensures the development and training of staff through a variety of learning opportunities.
The Unit also has two large general purpose classrooms, two specialist manual handling classrooms, a resuscitation training room and IT training room. A wide selection of courses are available including: IT, Health & Safety related training, Manual Handling, Resuscitation, Welsh Language training, interpersonal skills training, management development programmes and the Organisational Induction Programme. The Unit is also an accredited City and Guilds Assessment Centre that offers NVQ programmes to staff.
The Unit also encourages the recruitment of local young people to the Trust via the Nursing Cadet scheme, which allows progression into Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
