Peritoneal Dialysis uses a natural filter, a membrane inside your body called the peritoneal membrane.  Unlike haemodialysis, the patient does not need to travel to a dialysis centre and instead, patients are trained to do dialysis at home.

Due to a number of clinical conditions, not all patients are suitable to have peritoneal dialysis.
