Mr Martin Jones BSc (Hons), MA, FCIPD, CIHM, DipHSM
Mr Martin Jones was appointed Chief Executive in November 2005. Prior to that, he had been the Executive Director of Operations and Performance Management at the Trust since May 1999. Born at the former St David's Hospital Bangor, he grew up in Beaumaris, Anglesey. |
| He graduated from the University of Wales Bangor with a joint Honours Degree in Marine Biology and Biochemistry before starting his NHS career with the former Gwynedd Health Authority in 1983 and working at the C&A Hospital and then Ysbyty GwyneddMr Jones moved to Birmingham and then Coventry to work in different management posts before returning to Bangor in 1992. He has worked in a number of posts within the Trust and its predecessor organisations before his appointment as Chief Executive. Mr Jones obtained his M.A. from the University of York on leading innovation and change, and is a Companion of the Institute of Healthcare Management and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. |
