Mrs Kathryn K Griffiths-Ellis

Originally from Taliesin, near Machynlleth, Mrs Ellis was educated at Machynlleth Secondary School, Llysfasi Agricultural College and the Agricultural College of Wales, Aberystwyth. She is a former National Young Farmers International Chairman, England and Wales and has worked as an Investigation Officer in Grass Breeding at the Welsh Plant Breeding Station, Aberystwyth and a part-time lecturer in Grassland and Farm Management at the former Glynllifon Agricultural College. | She now works as a full time beef and sheep farmer at Llwyndyrys. Mrs Ellis is actively involved in her local community, being a member of the community council, a Justice of the Peace, a member and treasurer of the Llwyndyrys Dramatic Society as well as a school governor. Mrs Griffiths is a member of the Church Council and a council member of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society. In July 2004 she became an Associate of the Royal Agricultural Society for services to rural life beyond the farm gate. She has been a member of the North West Wales NHS Trust since April 1999. |
