Mrs Shirley Bough

Mrs Bough was born in Bangor and brought up in Penmaenmawr. She was educated at John Bright Grammar School, Llandudno before going to Liverpool where she trained as a Registered General Nurse. From Liverpool Mrs Bough went to study at the Birmingham Maternity Hospital where she qualified as a Registered Midwife. She later trained as a Health Visitor at Nottingham University and a Community Practice Teacher at Leicester University. | Mrs Bough has held various senior nursing positions in the acute sector at Kings College Hospital, London, in nurse education and community services in Nottingham, Watford and Oxford. She is a former Head of Nursing and Consumer Affairs and a Non-executive Director with Oxfordshire Health Authority. In 2000 Mrs Bough moved back to Wales and now lives in Rhosgadfan with her husband. She is a Company Director of Payroll Options Limited and has been a Non-executive Director of the North West Wales NHS Trust since September 2001. Her particular interests include Public Involvement in Health Care Services and the education and development of healthcare staff. |
