Mr Les Rees

Mr Rees is Director of Regional Liaison at Cardiff University where he has worked since 2004, having previously been the Registrar of the University of Wales College of Medicine.  His main area of responsibility lies in supporting the Vice-Chancellor in the development of stronger links, at the most senior level, with executive and political leaders. He advises the Vice-Chancellor on key aspects of the regional interface.

He is firmly committed to the all-Wales role of the University and to making the partnership with the NHS across Wales work well. 

Mr Rees is a native of Manchester, spent some of his early years on Anglesey, is a graduate of Bangor University and now lives in Cardiff.  He is married with four children and when not being serious – which is quite often – enjoys the good things in life even though not all of them are good for him!
