Do you live the the LL41, Blaenau Ffestiniog area and are the parent / carer of a school age child?  If so, this programme may be for you.

The Corun i Sawdl Programme is a holistic wellbeing course which runs for 12 weeks.  It's free, informal and each session offers an activity which promotes a healthier lifestyle.

The course involves improving physical fitness, developing personal awareness, building self confidence and working towards self empowerment.

The Programme is delivered by a team who's skills include:

  • Complementary Therapy
  • Health Visiting
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Women's Nursing
  • Fitness Instruction
  • Nutrition / Cooking and Meal Planning

The aims of the Programme is to promote the health and well being of young families and their children by:

  • The promotion of well being of young people, families and parents
  • The development of new skills whilst enhancing existing ones
  • Increasing participation in community activities

We can achieve this by involving people who know about health and well being issues in the local community, care about health and well being issues, or those who can make change happen.  Participation and involvement is more than just asking people to comment on our service, its about givig people the opportunity to be involved at all levels in decisions that affect their lives.

Involvement can be an empowering experience, building confidence and self-esteem and offering an opportunity to understand the difficulties faced by orgnisations on a day to day basis.

The Corun i Sawdl Programme works in partnership with the following statutory and voluntary agencies:

"My family has benefitted, also my relationship with my husband is better.  We are able to talk and plan for the future - we look after each other."

"I was always angry because of what happened to me as a child.  I had poor self-esteem and no confidence in my ability as a mother.  The programme and the therapy has given me a new meaning to the word 'life'.  I'm more assertive, loving with my children and have more respect for myself."
